Gov. Fayose seen moving out of the state house calls President Jonathan stupid

sources close to the presidency alleged that the problem of Fayose and president Jonathan started when the Fayose allegedly mismanaged the 21billion naira campaign fund which the President entrusted in his hands.

PDP sources said the president is angry with Fayose over the mismanagement of campaign cash and an image problem the governor caused him by his relentless attacks on the president-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, which raised support for the retired general while diminishing the profile of the president.

Security sources said Fayose compounded problems for himself by condemning President Jonathan for not using soldiers for the election.

“Security officers were holding a meeting with the governor and he was told to ensure adequate security to douse tension. Carelessly, the governor said he was not sure whether “that stupid President will agree like he refused to do during the presidential election”.

“Unfortunately, Fayose did not know that he was being recorded. The tape was sent to the President who after listening to it decided to leave Fayose to his fate.”

Yesterday, Governor Ayodele Fayose was said to have sensed the danger coming for being rude to his political god-father, the man who brought him back into Ekiti State House from exile.

He reportedly moved almost all his property from the Ekiti State House. Four Hilux vans were seen moving his personal belongings from the Governor’s Lodge to his Spotless Hotel.

Each Hilux van made four trips between the State House and the Spotless Hotel on Thursday.

Two weeks ago, Fayose was said to have moved some beds to his Afao and Ibadan homes.

Another source said Fayose’s behaviour betrayed his intention in recent times, citing his last week’s secret journey out of Ekiti State and today’s recorded broadcast to the Ekiti people.

“He likes loud life, but his behaviour recently suggests he is greatly troubled. He sneaked out of Ekiti State last week and quietly entered. Today, he presented a recorded broadcast to the people as a live broadcast.

Something is wrong with oga. The way he is moving his property out of the Government House confirms he is up to a game that is known only to himself,” the source said.

Another source in Abuja said Fayose has been running from pillar to post in order to seek President Jonathan’s forgiveness, citing that the opposition party leaders are the ones using black power to force him to disrespect Jonathan.

International Observers Call For Cancellation Of Rivers Guber, Assembly Polls…Say It’s A Mockery Of Election

hmm... God help us
International election observers on Sunday called for the cancellation of the Governorship and House of Assembly elections in Rivers. The leader of African Centre for Leadership Strategies and Development, Mr Humphrey Bekaren, who spoke on behalf of the observers, made the call in Port Harcourt.
He said the observers were shocked that INEC disregarded the widely reported violent irregularities to begin the process of declaring results in the state. ‘’ We request all lovers of democracy to join us in calling for the outright cancellation of the phony election. Unless this is done, we would have sown the seed that could eventually grow into providing a shade of fear and death over us,’’ he said.
According to Bekaren, what happened in Rivers was a far cry from what election should be. ‘’ What we saw did not meet international standard of electioneering, not even the ones set by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC,’’ he said.
He said there were reported incidents like deliberate delays and diversion of electoral materials, attacks on electoral officers, widespread arson  and voter intimidation. The Resident Electoral Commissioner for Rivers, Mrs Gesila Khan, said INEC cancelled election in centres with reported electoral malpractices. She said re-run elections took place in six local government areas in the state where electoral malpractices were reported.

Injuries: The exploding phone caused injuries so deep that doctors could see Hanghang's jawbone

A 12-year-old in central China was seriously injured when his phone exploded while it was charging.
The boy, known only as Hanghang, was using the old handset as an alarm when he woke up early for school and started to play with it.
He said the phone felt hot and then blew up in his face, exposing part of his jawbone and embedding fragments in his arms and legs.
'I played with the phone for a few minutes,' he said.
'The phone felt hot then it suddenly exploded and all I could see were my hands covered in blood and blood dripping from my face.
'I used a towel to stem the blood and washed my hands under the tap then I called the ambulance.'
Hanghang, from Pingdingshan City, in the Henan province, told reporters at People's Daily Online that when the explosion happened he didn't dare tell his parents and called the ambulance service himself following the accident last week.

He said: 'It was the battery that exploded. I have heard my classmates talk about this happening but I never thought it would happen to me.'

Nurse Death' admits murdering five elderly patients with potassium injections because she 'wanted to lighten her workload' at hospital in Czech Republic

A former nurse in the Czech Republic has admitted murdering six of her elderly patients with massive doses of potassium in order to ease her workload.
Vera Maresova, 50, confessed to killing five women and one man over a four-year period at a hospital in Rumburk - a small town in the north of the country.
Dubbed 'Nurse Death' by local media, Maresova was initially arrested over the death of a 70-year-old woman last August, but has now admitted killing five more people between 2010 and 2014 following a police investigation.
According to the prosecution, Maresova injected the potassium straight into the blood stream of her six elderly patients, which caused them to suffer heart failure and eventually death.
All of her victims were already in the intensive care unit at the hospital and it is believed Maresova thought their deaths would simply be attributed to natural causes.
Initially arrested last August for the death of one patient, a 70-year-old woman who died from potassium poisoning in June, Maresova subsequently admitted killing five others dating back to 2010.
In total her victims included five women and one man.
'All of her victims were elderly and needed intensive treatment,' a police spokesperson said.

'The woman who was supposed to care for them but instead killed them because she wanted to make life easier for herself,' he added.
'The terrible number of victims is six. We do not suspect the nurse committed any more murders';, he went on to say.

Prosecutor Frantisek Stibor said: 'She is not insane and knew exactly what she was doing. Therefore she is fit to stand trial.
'She used her knowledge of medicine to cause malfunctions in heart rhythms which led to heart failure and death.'
The first murder was in January 2010 and was followed by another at the end of 2011.
In April 2012 she killed her third victim and three more between February and June 2014.
Having confessed to the crime, 50-year-old Maresova now faces the prospect of spending the rest of her life in prison.

Mother uses wooden bat to save daughter from crocodile in Indian village

The young mother was washing clothes by the river, as many people in the Indian village of Thikariya Mubarak do, when the beast struck.
A crocodile emerged from the water and seized her foot between its jaws, according to a local forestry official.
The crocodile tried to drag her into the river during the attack Friday morning. But it hadn't reckoned with the woman's mother, who was washing clothes nearby.
The mother began thumping the reptile with a wooden bat that's normally used to beat the dirt out of laundry.
Her bold assault prompted the creature to release her daughter's foot, Ashok Pandya, the local forestry official said.
The young woman, who was identified as 18-year-old Kanta Vankar, was reported to have escaped without major injury.
The Times of India, a national newspaper, published a photo on its website that appeared to show the woman lying on a hospital bed with her lower leg bandaged up. Her mother, whom the newspaper identified as Divali, was shown sitting at her side.
Authorities have asked villagers to be careful and avoid going to the river, Pandya said.
Similar attacks have taken place previously in the same area of the eastern Indian state of Gujarat, he said.

Buhari Is Back: JAIL For Dollar Transactions

On Tuesday the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) raised concerns over the increasing use of foreign currencies as a medium of exchange in the country and warned that people caught in the illegal act risked a six-month jail term upon conviction.

The central bank announced in a statement that some individuals and corporate bodies had been using foreign currencies, especially the United States dollar, to price some of their products and services, and were also using same as a medium of exchange.

The development, the bank explained, was against the provisions of the CBN Act, 2007, and asked members of the public to report anyone caught doing business in the country in foreign currencies, to it or to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

The CBN statement says: “The attention of the bank has been drawn to the increasing use of foreign currencies in the domestic economy as a medium of payment for goods and services by individuals and corporates. It has also been observed that some institutions price their goods and services in foreign currencies and demand payment in foreign currencies rather than the domestic currency (the naira), which is the legal tender in Nigeria. For the avoidance of doubt, the attention of the general public is hereby drawn to the provision of the CBN Act of 2007, which states inter-alia that ‘the currency notes issued by the bank shall be legal tender in Nigeria…for the payment of any amount.’”

It added that “any person(s) who contravenes this provision is guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a prescribed fine or six months imprisonment.“

His prohibition, however, is without prejudice to foreigners, visitors and tourists who are encouraged to continue to use their cards for payments or exchange their foreign currencies for the local currency at any of the authorised dealers’ outposts. The general public is hereby advised to report any contravention of the provision of this Act to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the CBN for appropriate action,” the statement notes.

Meanwhile, the naira fell to 204 against the dollar at the parallel market on Tuesday as politicians were said to be engaged in massive purchase of the greenback ahead of the governorship and state Houses of Assembly elections on Saturday.

7 Reasons Why Everybody Loves Jimi Agbaje

As the build-up to the election continues, the momentum is swinging more and more to the underdog, Jimi Agbaje. It is pretty easy to see why as the down-to-earth politician is a rare breed.

7 Reasons Why Everybody Loves Jimi Agbaje

Below are seven reasons why everyone loves Jimi Agbaje and why the JK is OK movement is garnering a lot of followers by the second.

    1. He is Smart:
Jimi Agbaje is unarguably one of the smartest politicians around. This is even more evident when you hear him speak. He is articulate and one of the best public speakers in the country.

    2. Clean Hands:
Unlike most politicians, Jimi Agbaje has never been involved in any graft or scandal which makes him a role model of some sorts to aspiring politicians, considering that politics is usually considered an exercise to get one’s hands dirty. Jimi Agbaje is a far cry from the regular Nigerian politician and his track record in the private sector speaks for him.

    3. Jimi Agbaje has a history of fighting for a better government:
JK’s political genesis can be traced to the aftermath of the 1993 presidential election. According to him, he saw the annulment of the result as an insult on the Nigerian people and got into politics to change the status qup. Over the years, Agbaje has been involved in a number of resistance movements seeking for a better society. This informed his early rapport with notable figures like Pat Utomi, Dr Ayo Ighodaro, Asue Ighodalo, Billy Lawson, Oby Ezekwesili, Tola Mobolurin, among others. It is widely belived that the equitable society Jimi has always sought after will be easily realized if given the mandate.

    4. He has a rich professional resume:
Asides currently sitting on the board of a number of renowned companies, Jimi Agbaje boasts an illustrious resume. From 1987 to 1990, Jimi Agbaje served as National Secretary of Nigerian Association, General Practice. From 1990 to 1993, Mr. Agbaje held various professional appointments which include National Chairman of Nigerian Association of General Practice Pharmacists. From 1994 to 1997, he served as Chairman of Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (Lagos State). He also was Chairman of 1994 National Conference Planning Committee of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria. In the year 2000, Jimi Agbaje served as the National Treasurer of Afenifere, more proof that public funds are indeed safe with him.

    5. Jimi’s manifesto is compelling:
Have you seen and read his manifesto? You should visit his website www.jimiagbaje.com and see for yourself. His ideas are plain for all to see and are driven towards the development of Lagos. Anybody who sees that manifesto and doesn’t throw his weight behind Agbaje’s bid must not love Lagos and Nigeria at large.

    6. He is an enviable father and husband:
Jimi Agbaje met his wife Abiola Agbaje (Bankole) at the then University of Ife (now University of Ibadan), and has stuck with her until now, with their three children. Unlike most randy politicians, Jimi is known as a loyal husband which has seen him carve a niche as a loving family man and many are testament to his fatherly responsibilities.

    7. Jimi is the Change Lagos needs:
For the past 16 years, Lagos has been ruled by a single group of people/persons although their name has changed over time, they are still the same set of people. Considering the fact that there has been a change at the Federal level, Jimi is looked at by many is the change that can be seen in Lagos, given the wanton mismanagement of the state’s vast resources, human and otherwise.

CAMP WHERE CHILDREN ARE FOR SALE IN NIGERIA

Image result for PICTURE OF IMPOVERISHED CHILDREN
It really depends what you want. Boy? Girl? Young? Old?"
The man on the phone was offering us young children with the casualness of a market trader. After a week of back and forth phone calls, his initial caginess had given way to greed. He'd heard my foreign accent and clearly decided I would pay more than the domestic rate.
    "We can get," he said.
We'd been put in touch with the man through a contact on the ground. We were told he was one of the men running this "unofficial" displaced camp -- one of the many that has mushroomed in the town of Yola as the influx of people fleeing Boko Haram has grown beyond the capacity of the official camps.
It had all been heartbreakingly simple. We'd asked who had children available to "foster" -- a catch-all code word designed to conceal the true intent of those offering up the orphaned children. The man on the phone was the end result of those inquiries.
When our colleague want to see them, he was shown a group of children and asked which one he wanted to take. One, two maybe? He escaped by saying he needed to check with his "madam" -- me.

I called. The man picked up and began referring to me as "sister." I told him we wanted to know what we'd need to do, if we decided we did want to "foster" the children.
He told me, "Sister, Jesus will reward me," so the "fostering" was free, he said. No need for any pesky paperwork -- just a reassurance from me that the children, if I chose to take them, would "live in my heart." If I could also then find it "in my heart" to donate to those still in the camp, then that would be "God
The Global Slavery Index says Nigeria has the highest number of people in modern slavery of any sub-Saharan country. Paradoxically, the group also rates Nigeria's anti-trafficking agency, Naptip, as one of the strongest government responses on the continent -- but it's clearly overwhelmed by the realities of working in what is now a zone of military operations, Nigeria's north. As the insecurity in the region has spiraled, the worry is that more and more children are falling through the cracks. And as Boko Haram increases its reliance on child suicide bombers, concerns are growing that orphaned children could end up in the hands of the terror group. In spite of the harsh measures the Nigerian government has put in place to punish human traffickers, by the government's own admission, 8 million children are currently engaged in forced labor.
At the camp where we finally met the man face to face, there was no attempt at subterfuge. We spoke in normal tones in full view of the children playing. I could have had one of them, I was told, but because I'd specified a younger child, they'd only identified one so far -- a 3-year-old. Did I want to consider an older girl? A 12-year-old maybe? She could look after the 3-year-old, and cook and clean. Either way, two girls would be ready tomorrow, he said. I could see them then.
Our last phone conversation revolved around what an appropriate "donation" would be in exchange for the children. He couldn't, he said, bargain for it. He then proceeded to do just that, laughing down the phone at my first tentative guess of $200. Laughing again at $300.
We finally found a figure he didn't find funny -- $500. I put the phone down and we traveled back to the capital that day to show Naptip what we'd found.

Impeach God First Before You Impeach Me - Fayose

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has boasted that anyone who wants to impeach him must first face the herculean task of impeaching God before he can be removed as governor of the state.
The Fayose said this at an audience participatory programme; “Meet Your Governor” aired on the State Television, EKTV, Ekiti Radio on Monday, April 6.

Explaining why any impeachment proceedings against him will fail, he said: “I’m like Israel that is in the midst of enemies but will always prevail. Whoever wants to remove me will first have to impeach God.

The governor, according to the Daily Post, also described those plotting his impeachment as the same enemies of Ekiti State that plotted his exit from office in 2006. He also alleged that he was been witch hunted for being loyal to President Jonathan.

He said: “They are doing all these just to get at me because of my support for President Jonathan and I have no regret for supporting the president.

Fayose who claimed that he hadn’t seen any impeachment notice, explained that Dr Adewale Omirin who was instituting the proceedings against him had been impeached as the speaker of the State House of Assembly.

“Let me say it again, I have not been served any impeachment notice. The House of Assembly is also on recess and Dr Adewale Omirin is not the speaker of the State House of Assembly.

Omirin is in court, challenging his impeachment and he can’t be challenging his impeachment in court and at the same time laying claim
      to being Speaker”, he added

Last week the 19 All Progressives Congress lawmakers in the Ekiti State House of Assembly began impeachment proceedings against Governor Ayodele Fayose. The embattled Speaker, Dr Adewale Omirin, has forwarded a notice of gross misconduct to the governor, which sources within the APC said was served on him during the week. But Fayose has describing the purported impeachment notice as the “joke of the century.
